Work Tops
Tops that work for work — without looking like you're wearing a uniform. Plaid button blouses in cotton, satin shirts for days you want to look sharper, ribbed knits for when the office is freezing, and structured vests when you want a layer that actually adds something. Most pieces $23–$47.
What's actually in here — beyond "work tops"
This collection covers more ground than the name suggests. There are four distinct categories, and knowing the difference will save you some scrolling:
The blouses are your standard office-appropriate tops — collared, buttoned, mostly in plaid or solid satin. The cotton plaid ones are more business casual (think creative agencies, startups, casual Fridays) while the satin button-ups in navy and wine red read a little dressier — closer to what you'd wear for a client meeting or a presentation.
The vests are probably the most underrated section. A structured vest over a simple tee or a fitted long-sleeve turns a basic outfit into something that looks intentional. We have them in cotton, cotton linen, and polyester — the cotton linen ones breathe better in summer, the polyester ones hold their shape longer through a full day.
The knit tops — mock necks, ribbed styles, colorblock pieces — are for offices where you can get away with not wearing a collar. They're also the best layering pieces here: a ribbed mock neck under a vest or a jacket looks pulled together without being stuffy.
And the cardigans are here because every office has that one room that's always too cold. The ribbed knit ones in viscose are thin enough to not add bulk but warm enough to actually help.
Picking the right fabric for your office
This matters more than people think. If your office runs warm or you commute on public transit, the 100% cotton pieces are your best bet — they breathe. The plaid blouses and textured vests are mostly cotton. If you need something that stays wrinkle-free from commute to 5pm, go with polyester or satin — the navy and wine red satin shirts travel well in a bag and don't crease.
The knit tops are viscose or polyester blends — soft and stretchy, but some of them (especially the lighter colors) can show bra lines. If that matters in your workplace, stick to darker colors or layer with a vest or jacket.
Pairing these with bottoms
Most of these tops are cropped enough to tuck into high-waisted pants or skirts, or just long enough to wear untucked with mid-rise trousers. The vests look best tucked — it defines the waist. The cardigans and knit tops are more flexible.
If you're building a work capsule wardrobe, the easiest starting point from this collection is: one satin shirt in a neutral (navy, beige, or white), one plaid blouse for casual days, one ribbed knit top in black, and one vest. That gives you four very different looks with the same pants.
