The perfect color combination for a dress

Red and green, purple and yellow, blue and orange—complementary colors, as their names suggest, work best together. These are the exact opposite of each other on the color wheel. They may look bold, but the output will be a perfect dress. If you look closely, most of your spring and summer outfits are designed in complementary colors. While some might object to the concept, it's really a matter of choice, as some people like to make bold statements.

Gradient

Women’s clothing, partywear, event dresses or simple jeans can be eye-catching. Decreasing shades of the same color in ascending or descending order works well. If you're athletic pieces, you need to keep them together, with tops, bottoms, shoes and accessories in sync. Wear an gradient outfit for your Christmas or winter party to match the theme and the weather perfectly.

Solid color dress

It seemed like a no-brainer, since it's just one color in the same shade for the entire outfit. However, it is the most difficult to implement for obvious reasons. The good news is that the monochrome look has caught up and is no longer considered weird. Start with cozy and neutral colors like gray, blue, white, and black dress, and work your way up to softer undertones. The monochrome look can be customized according to the season or occasion. For a formal setting, stick to neutrals, blue or white dress, otherwise, explore pastels, yellow dress or even brighter shades if you so choose.

Floral dress

If it's a printed or patterned dresses, let the print take over. Prints and patterns are usually a combination of one or more colors, so you have to keep it. Keep accessories nearby; more color just makes it unwieldy and unruly.
