The combination of square neck and waist tie gives the dress a structured yet relaxed feel that I find incredibly wearable for everyday occasions. The pockets are a genuine highlight — properly sized and well-placed, they don't disrupt the line of the dress at all when empty. Blue is a soft, cool tone that photographs well and pairs naturally with white and tan accessories. Midi length hits at a graceful point and the fabric has enough body to hold its shape throughout a long day. My only note is that the tie can loosen slightly over extended wear — a simple tuck keeps it in place. Styled it with white trainers and gold hoops for a casual day out and it was exactly right.
This dress has everything I look for in a midi and then some. The square neckline is clean and flattering, the tie waist allows you to adjust the fit exactly as you like, and the pockets are genuine and deep — a detail that sounds small but makes an enormous practical difference. The blue is a composed, versatile shade that works equally well dressed up or down. I wore it to a weekend farmers market with flat sandals and then again to a colleague's farewell lunch with simple heels. Both occasions felt effortless.
