Homecoming Dresses
RIHOAS homecoming dresses are short, and none of them are sequinned. The collection is built on jacquard weave, satin, lace and pearl trim, with square and boat necklines through most of it. Prices start at $16. Most styles sit between $39 and $45.
Necklines and Coverage
Square neck is the largest group, usually on a jacquard or floral slip. Boat neck comes next, running straight across the collarbone with the shoulder covered, which clears a school dress code without a wrap. After those come cowl necks paired with an open back, sweetheart necks in lace, and a few mock necks. There is one strapless dress in the collection.
Fabric
Jacquard shows up more than anything else here. The pattern is woven into the cloth instead of printed on top, so it holds its shape and picks up light without glitter. Satin and chiffon cover the smoother, more fluid end of the collection. Lace and embroidery run mainly through the white, apricot and black styles. Pearl trim appears across boat necks, square necks and slip shapes.
Colour
Blue, black, white and red carry the most styles. Purple, pink, wine, apricot and green are smaller groups. If a group of you is matching colours, start from the smaller groups, since they limit which shapes you can still choose from.
Length and Fit
Mini covers a wide span. Two dresses both labelled mini can sit inches apart, and the model's height shifts the hem again in the photo. Every product page gives a dress length for the size you select. Measure a skirt you already sit comfortably in, then compare the two numbers.
Ruching is the most common construction detail in this collection, and ruched, corset and backless bodices are the ones to check before ordering. Bust and waist decide those, not the letter size. Both are listed on the product page, along with whether the fabric stretches and whether the dress is lined. For backless and strapless styles, look at the back construction before counting on a regular bra.
