I was eyeing capes & ponchos to set my own sense of style, and this was genuinely the one that caught my eye. I got this and the double-breasted plaid cape coat, and this one was better overall. The fit, the flow, the material, the POCKETS. I love how it hangs and flows, perfect with a chapeau or beret, or even a fur hat. The buttons are nice & solid, and the soft, warm material is ideal for all kinds of weather in my northern US city. I love that I can tuck my purse underneath for safe keeping if I'm on the bus or train, or just walking in a crowd. The arm slits are so easy to access, and the ample pockets let me have a quick spot for keys or a phone. The tan color suits so many outfits & occasions. I look forward to setting my own trend with this classic piece for so many ensembles. It was a last-chance kind of deal, and I am so glad I splurged a bit and got this, as it will be perfect for so many occasions. I could easily pair it with a nice silk scarf for a bit of color, and a wide brimmed hat for that classic look. And the fit was so ample that it will work for a variety of bodies and builds. This will work with so many outfits underneath, from dresses to blouses with skirts or slacks.
