This skirt is a wonderful weight and pattern for the transition from summer into fall. I did hem mine because I am short and I want it to fall right below the knee, but I am glad I got the long one because the shape is really nice. The leg slit seems to necessitate that an extra panel of fabric be added, meaning that there are three long pieces of fabric that essentially make up this skirt. This helps the skirt contour more appropriately to the human form than skirts made with only two pieces of fabric. I tend to look for leg slits now for this very reason. I would recommend this skirt. I might get the red one too.
