Based on the size chart, I went for a medium size. It was a looser fit which I did not mind, but wanted to try drying it to see if it would shrink a bit. Turned out, just washing it on a cold cycle/no drying worked! It fit perfectly around the bust and waist after that. I am giving the dress a 4 star rating because it arrived with two defects, but I was fortunately able to have them fixed prior to a wedding I was attending. Otherwise, I was really happy with the fit and quality of the dress (Barefoot photo is before I washed the dress, and the other photo is after I washed it).
